Three Non-Uniform Days were organised by the Community Service Group this year. The first raised money for Save the Children, a charity nominated by some of the U6 helpers.
The second was mainly for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children. A representative from this charity gave a very informative talk in assembly to explain how the money would be used. Some of the money was donated to Willie’s Orphan Fund, a charity the School has regularly supported.
The final Non-Uniform Day raised money for the Irish Nepalese Education Trust, following an inspirational assembly given by Dawson Stelfox about his work with the charity.
Just before Christmas, Patrick Lyons and Rhys Madden (Year 14) kindly helped out with a collection in Belfast City Centre for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. Also during the same term, the Annual Charity Concert raised over £4000 for the Everyday Harmony Music Therapy Trust.
